Baker Tilly Chile, one of the 10 largest auditing and consulting firms in the country with over 30 years of experience, has significantly increased its productivity, collaboration, security, and flexibility thanks to the implementation of the Microsoft 365 solution. The project was led by CloudCSP, a company founded in 2019 specialized in advising and assisting organizations in adopting the Microsoft 365 platform, with the fundamental support of Licencias OnLine
Client Challenges
Baker Tilly, with a team of over 100 professionals and experts in auditing, legal and tax advisory, and consulting, faced major challenges due to the geographical dispersion of its employees throughout the country and the impact of time zone changes.
According to Rodrigo Pino, Head of IT at Baker Tilly, “these issues significantly affected the company’s operations. Problems ranged from the loss of important client or internal data (which greatly affected us and posed an imminent risk) to the need to organize meetings or share work information to improve the company’s workflows.”
In response to these challenges, Baker Tilly’s IT department sought solutions to improve collaboration, productivity, work flexibility, and operational efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance and data protection.

The Solution
The response to these needs came from CloudCSP, which offered Baker Tilly a migration to Microsoft 365 through a licensing proposal. Licencias OnLine, a regional distributor of technology solutions and specialist in professional services, played a crucial role by providing presales support to guide Baker Tilly in choosing the appropriate licenses and outlining the resulting improvements.
The project was developed in several stages, including planning, preparation, migration from Google Workspace (ensuring a successful data transfer), and a post-migration phase with final adjustments and technical support. After the implementation, CloudCSP and Licencias OnLine conducted workshops to train users on the new tools.
Camila Orellana, Microsoft Product Manager at Licencias OnLine, comments: “At Licencias OnLine, we supported the channel in defining the appropriate licenses and assisted in the presales process with the end client, resolving questions about scope and technical specifications throughout the entire migration.”
The Results
According to the company, the results obtained over the four years since implementation have been remarkable:
• Productivity and Collaboration: Communication, document creation, and project collaboration were optimized, resulting in a 30% reduction in work hours for certain projects. Tools like Teams transformed communication with clients, making it more agile and effective.
• Security: Solutions were implemented to protect confidential data, including threat protection in emails and access control. Authentication policies have been key, especially with 80% of the workforce working remotely.
• Mobility: Microsoft 365 enables access to data and applications from anywhere, facilitating collaboration among geographically distributed branches.
• Efficiency: SharePoint streamlined project development and improved approval workflows, optimizing delivery times. OneDrive and Power BI enhanced file management and data-driven decision-making.
• Technical Support: CloudCSP and Microsoft have provided timely and effective support, vital for daily operations.

Regarding this, Pino highlights: “Thanks to Microsoft 365 tools and the support from CloudCSP, we have resolved critical issues within the company. Document management and productivity have improved significantly, both internally and externally. The support from Licencias OnLine has been efficient and solution-oriented.”
The implementation of Microsoft 365 has improved company processes by 40%, laying the foundation for the future. Baker Tilly plans to continue user training, improve security by developing a risk matrix and smart workflows, and evaluate the integration of Copilot, Microsoft’s artificial intelligence, to continue optimizing operations. “We plan to gradually implement Artificial Intelligence to identify its advantages and improve our operations,” concludes Pino.
