Germán Manfredi, Finance Manager in Licencias OnLine, explains the three financial models the Distributor has.
The first model is a standard one, in which the terms and methods of payment enter the credit line of the distributors and are delivered immediately to the channel, which receives an account statement month by month by email.
The second financial model is offered when the partner operates a project involving multi-brand technology. In this case, the wholesaler analyzes the channel’s financial status and customer information and may even involve manufacturers that participate in the initiative. Once approved the credit, payment terms and methods are established. The member receives a response within 72 hours and does not affect their usual line of credit.
The last scheme involves the leasing companies of Dell, IBM and HP Financial Services, that have representation in all the countries of the region and give better attention than others because they understand the nature of new business in IT. Additionally, in each country it relies on a local leasing company. It channels the partners to a financial entity of this type when it finds long-term projects and delivers a response in a maximum of one week.
"Appealing to one or the other model will depend on the payment deadline that the partner requires, not on the amount of money involved in the project, hence the importance of talking in each case", he explains.
All Licencias OnLine partners are creditors of a credit line after completing the registration process, which takes 48 hours. Based on their financial statements, they are given a certain amount of money, and they will receive monthly information about their balance and accounts payable by email.
The executive affirms that the interests are negotiable, and that most of the times the prices are handled in dollars, but that if it is required, it is quoted in local currency after fixing the price of the dollar on the day it is signed, which is respected until the liquidation thereof.
